I completed my graduate degree in graphic design at North Carolina State University School of Design where I studied classic typography, information hierarchy, design history, and the development and uses of form. While a graduate student, I was an instructor of materials and processes for non-design majors, and first year typography for design majors.
Hired as a graphic designer at Parsons School of Design, I was promoted to senior designer, and then to the director of the publications and promotion design department. I’m currently the design director at the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
My work has been featured in Information Graphics and Visual Cues and The Best of Brochure Design (Rockport Publishers), and has won awards from Print Regional Design Annual competition, Society of Illustrators, and CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education).
Many thanks to those who have contributed to my work as well as this website: Antonio Pulgarin, who shot my print and collateral pieces in settings in and around Soho; Kristine Larsen, who shot my portrait and much of the student work featured in my recent work; and Courtney Buckland, hand model extraordinaire. I would also like to acknowledge and thank Anna Ostrovsky, my design collaborator while at Parsons.
